Synopsis

Hana, a little girl, wanders inside a forest to pay homage to a rare and peculiar bloom. When sunlight touches the petals of the flower it bounces and creates rainbow refractions and a dazzling display of brilliant colors dance on the forest floor. Her happiness in seeing something so extraordinary is interrupted when an army comes marching into the woods. She tried to protect the flower but was swept aside as the men crushed the bloom. Gathering her courage and remaining strength Hana follows the soldier's destructive path. This leads her to a temple. Inside she sees the soldiers kneeling before an abstract painting of the same flower that once was.

Flower Trail is part of the director’s under graduate thesis in the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts and is her first animated production.
